What is "The Tell Presents Unscripted - Fargo?"
It is community through unscripted storytelling: no notes, no props, no kiddin'. You are invited to put your name in the hat to share a true story based on the night's theme... or not. You can just watch and enjoy the show, too. We will draw 7 names out of the hat and at the end of the night, we'll tally the people’s choice votes and determine a winner. The winner of each month’s event will be invited back in April to compete in the Tell-off! We encourage you to laugh, to cry, and maybe cringe at times. And of course you are allowed to swear; "but don’t be an @$$hole about it!"

What’s New?
As many of you know, our founder, Laura moved to Omaha with the love of her life last February and gave us her blessing to adopt her "baby" AKA the Tell. Papa Mark recently got a promotion at work that will have him traveling across the globe much more frequently. As far as the rest of us involved with the Tell, we wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for her. We want to do everything we can to care for and keep the Tell alive. While we’re sad to see them go, those of us who remain are working on some changes to reinvigorate the Tell community that we all so genuinely love. Here are some of the NEW things that are happening:

NEW SCHEDULE! THE TELL WILL NOW BE HELD ON THE SECOND TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH, FROM SEPTEMBER THROUGH MARCH! The details for the Tell-Off in April have yet to be decided but we’ll let you know on that. Doors to The Cellar will open at 6:30pm and the show will begin at 7:00pm. Because of the way Front Street Taproom is set up, you can show up early and have a drink in their main bar, order in dinner, hang out with friends, and then get in line for The Tell at the appropriate time, without having to stand out in the weather. How convenient is that?!?

NEW Venue! Front Street Taproom in The Cellar, located at 614 Main Avenue in Fargo, will now be home to The Tell. Front Street has recently renovated The Cellar and it’s got a really cool, intimate vibe. Think dim, cozy jazz club – with lots of low and high tables, a rail at the bar, and a super long bench that allows for prime viewing! With this change, we’ve also opted to make all seating general admission. First come, first seated. There are enough chairs for everybody so y’all don’t have to worry about that. Tickets will be sold for $10 cash at the door for this event. There’s an ATM upstairs if you forget your money. There will be no online presale at this time, but we hope to offer it going forward. Future ticket prices will be determined when we get that set up. (NOTE: Special thanks to Drekker Brewing Co. for being our gracious and wonderful home for the past few seasons. You took us in when we had no place to go and we will be forever grateful!)

NEW Menu! Front Street Taproom offers a great selection in the adult beverage department! Craft beer, wine, cider, and snacks – all produced in MN & ND! You’ll find your local loves from FBC, Junkyard, Drekker, and 4e Winery to regional favorites from Bent Paddle, Indeed, Lift Bridge, and more! (Non-alcoholic drinks are also available.) And, Front Street is just a few doors down from Rhombus Guys, so you can have pizza delivered, order in from elsewhere, or bring your own food!

BETTER Parking! Front Street is located down the street from the Island Park Ramp, which offers free parking after 5pm. In addition, there’s a parking lot at the Fargo Park District Office (just across Main Avenue) that’s free and open to the public after 5pm. Just look for the big orange and blue caboose!

NO VIDEO RECORDING! Our partnership with Grassfire Storytellers has been an incredible one, which exposed us to a whole new audience on the World Wide Web, and great-acclaim among the masses. It’s been a joy to be able to share our videos with family, friends, and fans -- far and wide. But alas, Grassfire’s business is booming and their schedules have filled. They aren’t available to film the monthly Tell events, but plan to video our season winners at the Tell-Off in April. So, all of that means – “What Happens at The Tell, Stays at The Tell.” If you want to see it, you’ll have to be there! Perhaps you’ve been too shy to get up on stage for fear of the ramifications from future employers or your mother, now’s your chance to be in the limelight. And we’re thinking more privacy might make for even more salacious stories. [:: wink ::]

NEW Hosts! Krissy Skajewski will be our main host this season, but you’re also likely to see some old favorites and new guest hosts in the rotation. If you’re interested in being a guest host, have your people talk to our people. If you’re interested in getting involved in another way, send us a message and we’ll chat. We have lots of jobs to fill.

NEW Name! With the changing of the guard comes a change in business licensing with the Secretary of State and a new trade name. For the remainder of 2018, the events will be titled "The Tell Presents: Unscripted Fargo." Beginning 2019, events will transition to "Unscripted Fargo."

What’s Not New?
The Format Stays the Same (Mostly): Throw your name in the hat for a chance to tell your story, or just come and listen to others tell theirs. And while you're welcome to tell any story you'd like, sticking with the theme will give you a better shot at winning. The audience determines the winner of the evening by a People's Choice Vote. The winner of each regular season event goes on to compete in April's Tell-Off.

The Community Stays the Same (Mostly): You’ll definitely see some familiar faces among the organizers. Here they are, in alphabetical order: Cody, Jarrod, John, Jordan, Kay, Krissy, and Mitch, plus many of your favorite local musicians. And of course, all your Tell friends will be there to take part and enjoy this event among the diverse, interesting community we’ve gotten to know over the past 6 seasons. We hope you’ll join us and show your support!
